April 6th - 10th

We have really enjoyed our time together after our spring break. We have been working hard to get back on track with our behavior, but it is getting better day by day :) After being off for 2 weeks, it's hard to get back into the swing of things!

Reading/Units of Study: We will understand how to visualize and will understand how it makes us better readers. We will be able to make and change our predictions as we read. We will understand the meaning of visualize and predict.
Writer's Workshop: We will be able to write a personal narrative that includes juicy details about a very important time in our lives. We will be able to draft, edit, and revise before we start our final copies.
Math: We will understand the parts of a clock. We will be able to tell time to the hour and half hour. We will be able to order a schedule based on times.
Phonics: We will be able to read and write compound words. A compound word is when two or more words are joined together to make a new word. Here is a great game to play to practice compound words! Also, check out the video below of one of our favorite songs to sing! Our words for the week are: carload, railway, carport, birthday, cupcake, salesman, teapot, oatmeal, raindrop, streetcar, tadpole, daydream.
